Wood Stove Change-out Program
San Lorenzo Valley, California

Location: Ben Lomond, Boulder Creek, Brookdale, Felton, Mt. Hermon and Lompico
Eligible fuels: wood (uncertified or pre-1996) -> pellet, propane, gas
Notable feature(s): Old stoves only need to be 10 years old to change out for a pellet, gas or propane stove.
Incentive Amounts
The Monterey Bay Air Resources District offers $1,000 vouchers to homeowners in the San Lorenzo Valley area to partially fund the change-out of at least 10 year-old or uncertified wood burning appliances to gas, propane, or pellet stoves. Income qualified applicants are eligible for an additional $1,500 discount.
Program Duration
The program is ongoing until funds are depleted. All change-outs must be completed by April 30, 2017.
Procedure
To receive a voucher, the property owner should email or fax a completed pre-application to the Air Resources District. Vouchers can be redeemed at a participating dealer.. The dealer will arrange a pre-installation visit with a participating installer. The installer will dispose of the old device, install the new one, and submit all necessary paperwork to the Air Resources District.
Requirements
Vouchers are valid for 35 days. New appliances must be installed by a participating certified installer. Only one discount is available per household, unless funds remain at the end of the program.
